GUESTBOOK
The first rays of sunshine warm up the SeaTales’ home and the campsite in the morning of Thursday, June 20th. We are ready since 7.30 a.m., after enjoying breakfast on our wooden terrace. Today Camping Mediterraneo hosts the first Bio Color Run, a coloured run across the camping. Our aim is to collect pictures and videos to describe and illustrate it through social media platforms: the Bio Color Run is in fact one of the most appreciated events of the campsite.
We are excited and nervous at the same time for what we are about to experience. The days before we have identified our own tasks and divided our workstations: Greta and Filippo will record some videos, Noemi will be taking pictures and Teresa has to create some interactive and compelling Instagram stories thanks to the SeaTales smartphone.
At nine o’clock we stop by our SeaTales office for the last task: realizing Filippo’s creative idea. We tie the camera’s tripod to Greta’s bike. Our team coordinator will run around the campsite filming the event, especially the bio dust throwing, and the material will be used for a final video story.
When we get to the Seafront park, where the run actually starts, it is already crowded: all the people joining wear a white t-shirt and are buying bags of coloured dust and start to throw them in the air. There are kids, guys and whole families playing and joking, while the animation team invites them to dance with the most recent songs. We are now divided: Noemi is busy taking pictures, Teresa climbed a carousel to tape some stories from the upper part; Filippo is close to the stage while Greta will record the run start.
It’s 10 a.m. when Bryan and Andrea, the chief animator and his colleague, leave with the campsite golf car giving the official start to the fun run. The first dust sprinkles spread in the air while the camping guests start to run, between a laugh and a dust throw. Greta leaves with her bike and follows people; Noemi and Teresa follow her on foot.
During the path, which crosses Camping Mediterraneo, we meet a lot of families running and other guests who stare at the funny show from their pitches and housing units. Everyone says “Ciao!” and “Hallo!” and a smile is painted on their faces. Animators are also located in some strategic points with buckets of coloured dust: we are soon covered by yellow, pink and light blue, looking like a running rainbow.
After waiting for everyone to reach the finish line, covered on coloured dust, the final destination is the sea: all the families jump into water. Kids laugh and the dives are the only sounds. We get the last frames and then we head to SeaTales office, tired because the morning was pretty intense, but satisfied of the result and happy because we had a good time. Later we will start to work on the video and we will publish the pictures: but as for now, it’s time for a refreshing shower and a delicious lunch at the campsite restaurant!
